Join us at ‘Clay and Connect,’ a social event where you’ll handbuild a clay creation, explore the art of ceramics, and mingle with new people. Created with our international students in mind, as well as anyone eager to expand their social circle in Utrecht. Whether you come alone or with a friend, enjoy music, good company, and the possibility of discovering a new hobby in ceramics!
*No experience needed*
In this mini-introductory ceramics workshop, we provide all the tools, clay, and materials you need to craft your own handbuilt creation. Our teachers will guide you with simple, beginner-friendly tips and assist you as you bring your idea to life—no prior experience required! Once your piece is complete, it will dry, be kiln-fired, and glazed by our team in a pre-selected color. You’ll be notified when your piece is ready for pick-up (typically within 6 weeks).
Please note: this is a social mini-workshop, reflected in the time, price, and available choices. The focus is on enjoying a fun introduction to ceramics while connecting with others at your table. We will make sure to play some fun music and have some cookies, nibbles and tea/coffee ready , but dinner is not included, so we recommend eating beforehand.

Our studio is home to a mix of international and Dutch students, and we’ve noticed that some of them are new to Utrecht or the Netherlands, looking for a way to continue their hobby while meeting new people—how fun is that?
If you’re thinking about joining but feel a little nervous about starting a new hobby or coming alone, don’t worry! You’re not the only one, and we’ll make sure everyone feels welcome. We’ve been in your shoes too—new to a city, stepping into a pottery studio for the first time—so we know how it feels. In our colorful, cozy space, we’ll guide you both in clay and in finding your flow. See you in the studio!
